Re: Migrating from CC3. OWM or dungeondraft?
I agree with ORtrail’s prior post here. DD is my go-to for city and smaller maps. OWM is a clear winner in larger scale maps. DD has a slick and easy user interface with fewer features and simpler use of them. OWM has a CAD-like learning curve with all kinds of features and it takes a bit to get re-...

Can someone explain the differences and what each is best used for?

Re: Spacing between coastlines and shorelines
Gosh, the asset used for the woods around “whispering” in this photo looks killer as well... and so does the way there is space around the word “whispering”!
I just really love the whole look of that map!

Re: V1.0.1 is out!
OK so I have been mapping it up today after seeing the new release, and I have a question: why does it take a lifetime for the program to complete a landmass "difference merge"? I work on really large maps (40x40 inches at 300 ppi), so that's a factor, but I am running on intel i9 9900K, an RTX 2080...

Re: Archipelago generator
As for the original request of this thread, I would also super love an archipelago generator. Would save tons of time if implemented well with plenty of tweakable settings. There is another thread in this forum asking for the same thing (island chain tool or something) so I think a few of us have ru...

Re: I'll go first :)
This may be a silly question, but in the future might vector-based art assets be possible? I notice that as I scale up artwork it quickly becomes fuzzy due to resolution loss, but with vector based art assets that wouldn't be an issue at all. Dumb question?

Re: I'll go first :)
Great news! By the way, just got to sit down with them and they are great! The lush forest one in particular works wonderfully with auto order to make full tree lines that don't appear to originate from tiled artwork. Thanks for putting a variety of each type of tile in there (multiple variations fo...

Re: What are your plans for Other World Mapper?
I use it extensively in my OOTA campaign which has been running for a little over a year (!) Tweaking the settings I have all but perfected the art of the sub-terrainian map in OWM- and I use it to generate battle maps all the time! I haven't messed with the city maps yet, but I want to dive into it...
