Since you wrote it, you considered it - you just decided against it.

We all bought OWM, so nobody here has an issue to pay for a good product.

I'm totally fine to pay for new functionalities that supports me creating better maps, that's why I'm good with paid upgrades. But what I need are updates to fix the issues I reported and I expect those to be free.

The No Man's Sky model of free updates/upgrades turned them from villains to heroes over the last decade. Splintering your user base with some having certain updates and others not just seems like a way to increase your testing workload as you roll out new features, etc.
