Hi,

Before I start I want to let you know I love your program. I find it an elegant and convenient solution for lots of smaller projects in addition to general brainstorming as I write. So thanks, really pleased I backed this.

However, I am having an issue in Windows 10 with missing menu/interface options. My file dropdown is entirely missing (starts with view) and the Map Properties (or setup) is only available to me when I create a new map. Any quick fix you aware of? I did a cursory look over the known issues and did not see this exactly.

I'm not sure what's going on, definitely the first time we hear of this issue. We are about to release Beta 4, but we'll try to investigate right away. A few questions for you.

1) Are you running window on a "normal" PC, or this is a tablet device like a Surface or a touchscreen laptop?

2) Can you email me a screenshot:

3) If you use the "Alt" + "F" shortcut to bring up the file menu, does it appear?

• 1. Normal PC, 32 gigs of Ram, lots of storage. Only thing particularily unusual is I have an VR headset but the problem predates my installing that.

  3. No, it does not bring up the menu. The shortcut from the help file for the map settings did not work either.

I do appreciate your prompt reply. If you think of anything that might work please let me know, I do understand its beta software so whatever you can do is fine.

Normally I wouldn't worry much since I saw you have a new beta on the way but I have a project with map files due for a rushed print deadline and feel way too lazy to use illustrator Plus your software is more fun to use.

Was this issue something you had when you first installed Other World Mapper or was it something that developed as you used the program?

Well, we figured out what was going on.

Customization of the menu is partially enabled, so you can move menu entries around, but also accidentally "hide" them. We'll be turning this off for Beta 4.

For Beta 3, you can follow these steps to restore the menus or menu icons to their original states:

1) Go to "Window" --> "Reset Workspace" and select yes when prompted.

2) DO NOT close Other World Mapper. Instead, use "ctrl+alt+del" to bring up task manager and terminate the "OWM.exe" process.
This will clear the workspace and keep OWM from saving again the incorrect workspace.

Your follow up email (delete workspace folder in the registry) solved the important half of my problem.
